 OUR HISTORY

Judah has been a part of the Humboldt Park community for over 17 years and during this time we have serve in many capacities within the community as a spiritual base as well as an education resource. Judah has sponsored annual toy and coat drives, as well as monthly food drive we also provided monthly adult ESL classes. Judah began providing Head Start service in September of 2015, prior to joining Head Start  in 2012 Judah was an exempt child care center providing child care service in the Humboldt Park community, Judah is dedicated to educating children and building sustainable families within the community, while also serving families throughout the city of Chicago. Judah began providing Head Start service in September of 2015, the goal of the program is to work in partnership with existing programs and community organizations to provide a range of comprehensive services to the families we serve. we focused on building families including those who are homeless, in foster care, have special needs, are on public assistance, whose family incomes are at or below the federal poverty line, and/or have other high-risk circumstances. We provide comprehensive early education programs for children and their families, with special emphasis on promoting children’s school readiness in the areas of language and cognitive development, early reading, science, mathematics, social skills, health, and physical development. Parents are empowered as leaders and advocates for their children’s education, families’ success, and betterment of the communities where they live, work and play.

To create and sustain a nurturing environment that reflects collaboration and positivity. It is through these connections that we will provide an array of comprehensive services that will address the needs of children school readiness and family’s sustainability.
